Where I Sleep & What I Eat

The first thing I bought in Labuan. The first visit, the first thing that I bought and also the first time of buying it in my life...

DSC06298
Malaysia Prepaid Handphone Starter Pack. One thing that is "SIOK" about Malaysia, Cheap bill! Spent 5Ringgit for the starter pack and it comes with 10Ringgit recharge card. It doesn't cost much to make international call too!

Then, to find a place to sleep at night. Wasn't that familiar with the place that we don't know where to find a cheap deal hotel to hop in for the night. And I don't get to see this by the roadside like what I encountered in Brunei.

DSC05224
B$30.00 per night!!!

Heard that, there is one boss in Brunei who opened a hotel at there. So me & wee give there a try. By the time we got there, we're wrong!

DSC06556

DSC06555
It's not one, it had expanded his business into two hotels!

And it is owned by this man below...

DSC06296
The owner of Aifa Electrical in Brunei.

Paid RM128 for the room.

DSC06303
Well, not RM128 for this room.

DSC06304
It's double single bedroom.

One of the nicest thing about this hotel is its location, it just located around the town area. With less than 5minutes walk, we can reach the port. There are lot of shop houses and restaurants around the hotel too.

Right around the hotel, there are supermarkets.

DSC06353
Bought some snacks for supper

DSC06392

DSC06393
And some drinks! Alcohol in Labuan are cheap because it's duty free. Even cheaper than the mineral water that I bought for RM8.70 per bottle. Hahaha! It's EVIAN, that's why.

DSC06492
All the way to Labuan just for the instant cup noodles?

The story still continues in day2!

Day 2, there are more people joining the trip. Me & Wee went there a day earlier because scared that shops will be closed during the 2nd day which is the Hari Raya.

DSC06720
Four more people that joined which mean bigger rooms are needed!!!

DSC06635

DSC06308
BETA Service Apartment is the place staying for group. And right beside the apartment, it's the shopping complex that known as the "Financial Park Labuan".

Paid RM312 for the room!

DSC06681
Once again, not this room!

RM312 for 3rooms...

DSC06680
One queen size bedroom.

DSC06732
One single bedroom.

DSC06683
One double single bedroom.

DSC06679
It comes with a living room.

DSC06679
And a kitchen too!

Right beside the living room, there is balcony that we can have the view of Labuan town!

DSC06282
Definitely one nice place to take photo at...

More people mean more FOODS! We're going to one place to eat seafood that Wee want to bring us to. But when we reach there, it's closed due to the holiday! Asked this to taxi driver who is MR.AGUS! He said that during holiday when there are lots of people visiting, the shops are closed. But during the daily day when there aren't much people visiting, they open the shops and wait for customer!

Lastly we ended at...

A Small Sight Seeing @ Labuan

DSC06502
Welcome to Labuan!

What do you have in mind when talk about Labuan?
Isn't it an island? Is it a small town that have lots of old shop buildings? Is it a place that don't have big shopping complex/mall? Is it a place where there aren't any place to go?

DSC06697
Yeah, it is! It's one small town with many old shop houses and buildings.

DSC06691
There aren't much shopping mall like what we have here in Brunei or Miri.

DSC06693
The town of Labuan is just as big as Bandar Seri Begawan which we can walk around those shop houses.

But for me,
DSC06362
Labuan is more than a small town or one small island!!!

It's a place where there are a lot of sight-seeing to do.
DSC06364
Unlike Brunei or Miri, Labuan has one Chinese temple that is four-story tall and an underground basement under it.

DSC06347
Right at the town, there is public library.

DSC06346

DSC06345
One big public library they got there.

DSC06587

DSC06576
Wee brought me here for a visit.

DSC06569
It's the MARINE MUSEUM where they exhibit the marine life's habitats, the species of fishes, sea snails, sea corals that is found in sea of Labuan. Other than that, they also exhibit artifacts from ship-wreck, replica and illustrations of the marine's life and etc.

Too bad, there aren't any pictures taken because it's closed during that time! Thanks to the taxi driver who "SABOH" me & wee.

DSC06572

DSC06573
Just right beside the marine museum, there is beach.

Because Labuan is an island, that makes her a nice place that surrounds with beaches. And this is one of the beach that I encounter.

DSC06581
Pantai Tanjung Purun

DSC06574
And there is one restaurant located there where it's definitely one fantastic and romantic place to dine in.

DSC06595

DSC06593
A five minutes walk away from the museum, there is Labuan Clock Tower.

DSC06590

DSC06588
It's one of the historical monuments in Labuan. Labuan is one of the place that was invaded by the Japanese during the second world war. And it is named as Maida Island at that time. There are couple of places which had its own historical stories like the "war memorial", "peace park" and "the chimney".

DSC06607
I want to say that Labuan's people are creative. On our way walk to the financial park complex, there is the skateboard park that catch our attention.

It's not that we saw people skate like the legend, Tony Hawk. It's the park that look even more KICK ASS than Tony Hawk.

DSC06601
It's all covered with Graffiti.

DSC06602

DSC06605

DSC06628

DSC06615
And I personally like this one, it looks so cool with the spraying of the paint making the effect of the cartoon's emotion.

It's really creative even the name of the artist also out-of-the-box!

DSC06616
BIHUN SOUP!!!

We Bruneian are also Creative in a way too. Brunei Yakin! They can draw. BUT...

DSC06627

DSC06599
We can skate even WITHOUT skateboard! Even more KICK ASS than Tony Hawk.

DSC06531
There is still places that I'd not go. Maybe next time???

DSC06689
This is the An'Nur Jamek Mosque.

DSC06526

DSC06909
The beautiful night view of Labuan.

And lastly, I was surprised to spot this even at Labuan...

DSC06764
The Tower Of Pisa!!!
Nehh, this is just a version of myself. "The Lamppost of Pisa".
