CHMS, My School During The 90s

This is the school where I graduated my primary level back in the year 1999! Chung Hwa Middle School, the only Chinese learning school in Bandar Seri Begawan. The school that is famous in almost everything. The goods things or the bad things, they just can do it well.

One of the hottest news about the school is "sorry sorry toilet bullies" video that had create issue that circulated the blogging nation, facebook and youtube.

One thing for sure that CHMS less achieved at is Football because they like to catch it with hands instead of legs!!!

But still it is one of the greatest school I'd attended. I'm glad that I'm enrolled in CHMS before because I had one hell of an exciting childhood memories and met lots of awesome people.

10years later today that I go back CHMS not as a student but as a visitor who looks around to see the changes made within the 10years time.

Who knows 10years later I go CHMS no more as a visitor but a father who waits for his sons/daughters to finish school! =.=

Had the back to school trip with Jestina & Yung Shin, both of them also my classmates before.

Walking back around the school does bring back a lot of flashbacks and memories. I moved from Sunshine School, Beribi to CHMS to start my primary two. It was totally stranger and hard for me at first to get get used to the school there and yet I have to study Chinese Language for the very first time.

For the very first year, I was the obedient student that obey all the school rules and hear what the teachers instruct.

Slowly time after time things started to change, I'd turned from obedient to what they called now...

Rock and Roll!!!

Although "Rock & Roll", I managed to graduate my Primary Certificate Examination with 5"A". That was the story in my primary but when it goes to secondary level, it is completely another new chapter beginning.

In 10years time, there would be a lot of changes can be made. But surprisingly during the visit, there are still things that are preserved which does make people reminisces about the sweet old memories.

These pathway is still here and it doesn't change at all. These was the pathway where I had my running test for the Physical Education lesson and I'm fat at that time just like Porky in Bookworm short stories. It was exhausting running from an end to an end!

The staircase here is the area where I had to clean and sweep once a week. The place is cleaned each day according to the one who's in duty and every classes have the chances to clean as each class is assigns to clean at different places of the school.

Other than cleaning the surrounding area of the school,

Now they improves it by beautifying the places with pictures and flowers. It just makes the school looks more colorful and fresh.

When Human Beings Treat The Nature Good Is Also Equal To Treating Themselves Good!

The dental clinic of the school where I always go to pull of my milk teeth & also the treatment of the teeth and it is free!

The place that is very happening during the break time at that time. It is the place where all the students would come out and play. At that time we can see students running here and there, playing ice and water, polices and thieves, pepsi-cola 123, cara kaki & tangan, skipping rope and the most famous games among the boys is the "dodgeball"! Guess that some of the games had gone extinct.

Hello indoor games, BYE-BYE outdoor games. Kids these day would prefer electronic games more than outdoor games.

They had added tiles to the pathway inside the building. It is a long pathway that is connected to every block of the buildings.

This was my class before where I studied my primary 6. Nothing much change except they'd change the door of the classroom. Other than that, the old classic switch of the lights and the fans still there.

As for the classes below, nothing change at all. The doors still the same old doors, the windows still the old same windows and the wired net had turn rusty.

The canteen didn't change also that the benches and the tables there was the benches and tables that I sat 10years ago. The canteen got sells snacks, beverages, ice-creams, foods, stationery, toy in the box and etc. It was so fun during that time when visiting the canteen, there is always a lot to buy and a lot to eat.

The lady boss of Ang Boon Kiat stall and the stall itself is still there. Ang Boon Kiat stall has the most selling among all the stall in the canteen.

The stall that is famous for its Kueh.

Kolomee is one of the most selling foods in the stall. Other than the kolomee, Laksa, fishballs and fried drumsticks also its most selling foods. Too bad, the drumsticks now only available only on every Tuesday. Last time I can have it on every schooling day.

It was really exciting when walking around the schools and saw a lot of things are still preserved. Every corners of the CHMS do have its stories in behind. Even the hostel of the teachers also had its stories that every day after the school ended, it's the place where me and my friends did all the pranks to the teacher that we don't like.

For me, the biggest change of all in the school is the library. The library had re-built on a new block that is bigger and more comfortable that the previous one. CHMS really did a great job in managing its library. Back in 1999, CHMS already had computers in the library for the students to use where as its already 2010 now, the computers in my current school is not yet operate.

The library itself now had improved into two floors where the bottom floor is where all the books located and the top floor is where students can have their self-study time, doing homework time and reading time.

It is so efficiently managed that it even has magazines to read!!!

The books are replaced with newer one that I could not find some of the books I like to read and borrow before like the Bookworm Short Stories, Lat The Kampong Boy and some of the Chinese comic books. Though all these are the classical kick ass story books and comics, the books now replaced also don't lose to the kickness before.

After spending some time looking for books, I managed to find 2books that I like to read before. "The legend of the monkey king, Soon Wu Kong" Like to read it last time because I have the same surname like the character.

Spent one and the half hour walking around the school. Right after the visit, we had our breakfast at PhongMun Restaurant which is one of the oldest restaurants that still operate in Brunei. The photo of the Kampong Ayer is taken in the restaurant.

CHMS, one school that is a wonderful stage that can let you perform well. I personally think that not only CHMS can but every school in Brunei also can let everyone perform. The stage is always there, it's up to you to perform.

There is always bad students in every school no matter what, it is something that can't be escaped. Whenever there is good, there is always bad. The problem isn't the school, it is at our hand. What we want to choose we want to be!

It's Been A While Didn't Picnic

Last year during time like this, I had a picnic at Pantai Seri Kenangan. It was the first time picnic at the Seri Kenangan beach with friends.

It was one nice place to picnic because of the strong sea breeze that keep blowing. This just makes it easier to light up the fire to BBQ!

Other than easier in starting up the fire, the place is so windy and clean.

There aren't many branches can be seen and step on the surface of the sand or in the water. Therefore, we don't have to worry about getting hurt or pain while playing around. It is one very happening place during the Sunday and the holidays.

BUT it was wrong timing that we had picnic at that time. It was during the fasting month that we went all the way to Pantai Seri Kenangan for a picnic.

It is just so lonely. It was so quiet that there aren't many people, there aren't the vendors opening stalls selling foods, there aren't any happening at the beach. It was just us picnic-ing at there. Though we had the fun too but we missed all the usual stuffs there due to fasting month. Cannot eat + cannot drink + cannot smoke + cannot " see" = no feel to go beach!

This time, we went there a few day before the fasting start and it is completely a different picnic we all had comparing to last year.

Let's say last year was fun :)

This year is even more FUN and MERRIER :D

It was so merrier that you have to walk a distance away to answer a call.

That's because this year I get to eat ice-cream from Mr.Softy!

Nehh! That's because it is really happening this year.

A cute puppy joined us and her name is Cookie.

Other than eating Mr.Softy's ice cream this year,

I got buried.

It's their masterpiece.

It was not enough and always the same kind of pattern, let's try new stuff this time.

Rest In Peace

Other than enjoying the marinated foods barbecued, laughing out loud & playing around with everybody, being buried into the sand, seeing the people around having fun and the sport cars convoying into the beach. This is just one thing that is more more FUN!

It is so fun that you'll want to fly back again to Pantai Seri Kenangan whenever you think of it.

Riding on the ATV Buggy Bike!!!

It is the 250cc and 300cc ATV buggy bike for people to rent and ride. The price is $5 for every 10minutes ride. It is fast for a bike like this, nice to see nice to touch and nice to ride, the beach is so long in length that we're able to ride very far while enjoying the sea breeze and the beauty of the beach. It's kind of adventurous that we can do donuts wit it, we can ride with 2tyres sideways and etc. Just like those kick ass hardcore riding scene in action movie!

It was my FIRST TIME riding on bike like this and I drove it myself.

Let's see whats more FUN again during the next visit to Pantai Seri Kenangan.

1acre of paddy field in the school for the agriculture students to plant. I get to learn the step in preparing to plant the paddy, from seed preparation to land preparation and planting. It was really tough work but I bet all my course-mates are enjoying it!

And we just finished plating it on this Monday.

Fasting Month for the Muslim would be one of the most favorite month for everyone because of the FOODS and its Promotion. During the Fasting Month people doesn't go Stadium for keeping fit.

People go there for the ultimate foods hunting. There are a lot of foods to be choose and there are also foods that only show up during the fasting month.

A Place That You Ever Visit

A place where everyone will have the chance to go...

A placed where you would name it HELL because it is a place where you suffer all the time. A place where you start to lose freedom bits by bits. A place where you couldn't sleep well and how you wish tomorrow never comes when the penalty is around the corner.

A place that people calls it SCHOOL!

A place where you took an oath that you be a good citizen. Where you promised that you be good and don't do things that break the rules.

A place where you start to mix with big groups of people. A place where you start to know to do things together.

Even during the break times, you have to queue for foods & drinks. A place where you learn disciplines.

There are times that you'd would be sent out to do work under the hot sun.

Life is hard huhh, but it has to go on!

It is still a place that gives education for better future.

Technical skills also provided for you at there.

Too much things but so little times to handle, this is the times that you start to feel stress.

And this is also the time that you start thinking of ESCAPING!

Despite the heavy workloads & due dates,

It is still the place where you enjoy and also where FUN can be found! One of the best moment in life is the study life :)

Brunei had a new aim few years back which is to reach self sufficiency in rice production.

She started from nothing...

Starting from the beginning may be hard and things may not go smoothly as it is.

She still works hard everyday to reach the target...

Finally, even though it just a quarter ahead from the starting points. It showed that all the hard works sure paid off!

It's Back Again

To all of the anak cina Brunei again,

Still remember this place??? Looks familiar huhh?

A place that is always full during the Sunday. A place where all the uncle-uncle have their breakfast before going to work. A place where the old and the young one like to visit. A place where everyone go for its KOLOMEE!!! It's Ocean Quarry Kolomee that was before located at Jalan Madewa there. A small canteen that only serves Kolomee & Kolomee-pok!

Too bad, due to the some reasons the place was shut down.

Then it moved to Simpang 1029, Jalan Muara. It was like receiving the news of winning a lottery for everyone to know that it is back for business!

And on every Friday, me and my friends would travel extra kilometers just to enjoy the Kolomee. There are people just like us and its loyal customers that just willing to drive all the way to Jalan Muara for its kolomee & mee-pok!

It is always that exciting whenever having the ocean quarry's kolomee or mee-pok.

Just operating the business in the new area for a few months and while the business is doing great, it has to be closed down again. What a hard time and tough luck for the boss. It is so sad to know the news that the bowls, chopsticks and spoons are going to be collected in dust.

It'd had been closed for months that the tasty taste of the seasoned sauce mixed with the noodles & the fragrance of the fried shallots and spring onions that make one delicious bowl of noodle is no more but a memory!

The god does not disappoint the people who put in efforts! When there is a will, there is way! The boss is really one tough man huhh. It is really out of the blue today that I received news about the Ocean Quarry's Kolomee is opened again that really excites me.

Without waiting any longer, I drove out in the night to try my luck.

Aaahhhhhh!!! It is just so adrenaline pumping and I never thought that...

I'll be having another chance to try it again. WOOO!!! It's been so long that I ordered two bowl of it.

After asking the waitress for confirmation & trying out the noodles, I announced that Ocean Quarry's Kolomee is really BACK IN ACTION again.

It moves to Ban Hiong Restaurant at Jalan Tutong, Simpang 600.

Ban Hiong doesn't change the owner, it just like the kolomee's boss use its place for business and profits of the kolomee sold are share among the Ocean Quarry's Kolomee and Ban Hiong Restaurant.

Moving into the new place, it gives more kick to the customers that there are much more choices for the customers to choose which Ban Hiong Restaurant serves home-made chrysanthemum, sugar-cane and soya-bean drink. And we also can eat the kolomee with extra foods like kuih-kuih cina and cooked dishes.

It was my first time visiting Charcoal & it was not like what I think at first.

Charcoal BBQ & GRILL had been an expensive and high-class place to dine in for me. Saw from what people had blog about it, it really serves great foods and the surrounding of the place is nicely decorated with modern contemporary design. These makes me always think that place like these would need lots of cash to visit or else end up washing dishes :)

I was wrong again all these time.

From the moment step into the place, it does amazes and surprises you!

WOW is the expression I got in Charcoal. The place is really nice which they use big sofa-chair for customer to sit which is really ass-kicking comfortable that doesn't want you to leave that place so soon! The walls are all hung with posters of old movies that bring out the classic feel.

Services are nice that we were greeted and served with smiles.

Another WOW is the menu! Charcoal so far has the most attractive menu for all the place I'd visited. There are enough details for people to know what to order and it's colorful.

Even ordering a pepsi-cola drink can be that exciting.

With the pictures of the foods added into the menu,

It just makes you saliva dripping and super duper hungry wanting to try all the foods!

As token of compliments, customers that dine-in are serves with a free plate of fried wantan skin that is crispy. Hot or Cold plain waters are also serve to the customers from the moment they sit down. With a place and services given, it just worth the price paid. And surprisingly, price of the foods are consider not that expensive when comparing in eating foods in the below.

Charcoal BBQ & Grill is a place that is specialized in serving meat foods. A place that is an ideal for those Barbeque lovers. Foods are serve in variety of choices that we can choose from...

Journey With Diana F+ II

It had been months since I used Lomography Camera, Diana F+

The same old story again and again about the diana f+. It is always that exciting and adrenaline pumping when it comes to knowing Diana in the very first place. It caught my attention on the first time seeing her. That's because of all the Lomography camera, Diana has the biggest & the kick ass flash!

It's like love in the first sight!

I was so passionate by Diana that makes me go crazy all over her.

Crazy till I did stuff like these! I wrote an entry titled "Am I Ready For A New Relationship?" which people at first think I'm in love with somebody but lastly end up knowing I was having a relationship with a plastic camera.

It was hard at first in using the camera that most of the times I get blurry images like these.

Other than the blurry images, I also get wrongly focused images that the pictures developed was completely different from what viewed in the view-finder during focusing to snap the moments.

Every time when sending the film to be developed, it was curious and exciting to see the outcome of the pictures snapped. And every time, the excitement turned out to be disappointment.

Even though the pictures turned out to be blurry and disappointment is the feel after seeing the developed film,

Diana F+ is nice in some ways too! Despite the blurry images and the got body but no head images, there are nice images taken! It does give effects that are unexpected from a analogue camera with film.

Amazing effects that doesn't use any editing using photoshop, remarkable effects that have over saturated colors and giving of dreamy effect to the pictures.

It just so UNIQUE & CLASSIC!

Time after time after exploring and understanding the camera, the last time I walked out from the photoshop was with smile of satisfaction :) Start to get the kick of Lomography!

Right before the school holiday start, there was a school field trip to BLNG. Unfortunately we can't enter the plant due to maintainence protocol.

We had the presentation from the BST's people in Liang Lumut Recreational Club that is situated near to the BLNG plant and Brunei has the longest jetty in the world.

Here's how we get to Lawas.

First of all, pass by the Chinese Temple by the roadside before reaching to the Limbang Town.

From Limbang Town sit on ferry to go Temburong District.

After Temburong District, another ferry ride to reach Trusan. Trusan is the first village that we reach after the ferry ride.

The Aunties Wonder WHY

Chinese movies & dramas always show these. And this also happens in real life that I always hear this from the aunties!

"Aiyohh, My son hears all the words from his wife!"
"Eeyerrr, My son hears all from his wife instead of his mother!"
"Hmmph, My son used to be so obedient but now he obeys more to his wife!"
"Sigh, My daughter-in-law's eyes speak more than I do!"

Television always show scene like these.

The wife asks her husband if she and mother-in-law fall into the river, which one will the husband safe first! and 100% from what I'd seen from the TV. All the husbands said these...

OF COURSE YOU LAH!!! If the husband answer wrongly, he'll be DOOM!

A lot of aunties can't do anything but whining it.

And I think I know WHY~

That's because when the boys are small, they feed on mum's breast feeding.

When they got married, they start to hear the words from their wife because they feed on their wife's breast feeding!!!

CoffeeBean in Bandar Seri Begawan that have nice sofa chair which is comfort, nice foods and snacks to tuck in. Both also one nice place to hang out to enjoy the moments chit-chatting especially with the tasty & fragrance coffee that accompanies.

Other than these 2 cafes in BSB, there is still another place where we can also sit down to relax, nice drinks to drink and also tasty foods to enjoy with lower price :)

The place is simple, contemporary, clean and bright.

And it comes with Sofa Chair too. Kevn CKV restaurant is relax that during my visit, the place is peace and calm that accompanies with instrumental music songs where we can always hear in the hotel's lobby. They also come with different type of promotions each days except on Sunday.

Breakfast menu are available with set meals that is comfortable and easy for the working class people in BSB that they don't have to spend much time thinking to decide what to orders and save time when they are busy with their works.

For the cooked foods, they serve wide varieties range of foods from Asians Cuisine to Western Cuisine but it concentrates more in the Asian Cuisine that is more suitable to the locals.

School Trips Before Year1 Ended

School trips are always FUN as it are. Students get to gather together, traveling together, experience and enjoy together.

Recently before my holiday started, there are a few school field trips for us to visit.

It makes me feels like I'm back to my primary level.

That teachers lead the way and we follow the teacher's instructions. We have to be obedient and not to make much noise. Attendance are taken after the trip to make sure no one is missing.

First was to BARC, Brunei Agriculture Research Center where it is a place where a lot of researches are conducted to improves the productivity and qualities of the crops and animals. It is also a place where farmers may look for tips and assistance. All these are done to promote the agriculture sector in Brunei.

The purpose of us visiting the BARC is to learn hydroponic. A method of planting the crop with only use of water and manpower. One type of planting that is plant without using the soil. The seeds are first sow in the sponge and later put on the water in the dark room for the seed to germinate and ready to be transplant.

The reason why the seeds are placed in the dark air-conditioned room is to protect the fragile seeds from the hot sunlight that they may suffers from thermal shock. The first germinated stem and leaf are weak that they may not be able to stand the heat outside that may result in low rate of germination and productivity. It is placed inside the room for a week until it is readily to be transplant outside.

With the helps of fertilizers and chemical compounds in the water, it helps the plant to grow healthier that the hydroponic prevent much diseases infected the crop as there are no soil-borne diseases and air-borne diseases. It is also decreases the number of pests attack on the plants as there are no soil for the pests.

Other than visiting the hydroponic system, we also visit the greenhouse in BARC.

Where they use the greenhouse to plant tomato! Greenhouse is also a system of farming that help a lot in the management of the plant. It reduces the heat and protect the crop hit by direct sunlight. Other than that it is easily to manage the farm as there is no much manpower needed when there are no pest attacks on the crops and the rate of outbreak of diseases are also low.

The second field trip was to Luahan, the place that is specialized in livestock farming. During the visit, it was lead by the school's instructors and the officers from the livestock's department.

Luahan is a place where livestock farming is carried out that students manage to see the appropriate design to build the farm for animals. Methods of managing the animals also shown by the technicians and officers that taught the students the appropriate ways to manage the animals while milking, tagging, calving, application of medicine, feeding and etc.

In Luahan, they are specialized in the farming of cattle and goat.

It is sweet that in the early morning, breakfast was served by the loves one. It just brighten up the days. It is nice that lunchbox is prepare for the person that he/ she doesn't have to worry to eat the lunch where and it is also help in saving up money. After a tiring day, it is happy to know that someone we love is preparing a nice dinner meal and waits us at home.

If we don't know how to cook,

We just make ourselves a bad partner to the other half.

And that's the time we start to regret that why when we're young, we don't follow our mum when she's cooking in the kitchen. Why we hated the smell of fishes and meats that we keep away from the kitchen when mum is preparing the dishes. Why we're such a dramaqueen when we're young.

Modern age like now, not only the women that has to cook. It is not necessary that wife cooks for the husband, the husband also can cooks for the wife.

Sometime guys may look like they are playful.

But when it comes to cooking. Guys can be serious.

Before I start anything, I would like to say.

"Irau Aco Lun Bawang" and "Selamat Hari Gawai"!!!

Here's a post that is about ME on the very own day of myself.

Someday in the month of May, it is the time that I celebrate my birthday.

Every morning on that date, mum would prepare longevity noodles for me. Later the day would be accompany by lots and lots of greetings from family, relatives and friends through sms and also facebook. Thanks everyone for making one amazing day during the day every year and I got the really surprising birthday attack when the clock strikes 12A.M!

Later on the night, it was dinner accompanied by couple of friends.

One of my friend told me that having birthday is getting "BIGGER"!

Though he did sounded it like growing BIGGER balls.

Growing BIGGER balls does not mean that we can start doing things that are not allowed by the elders or things that are over our bottom lines. There are boundaries that are not for trespassing or will be shot. Getting bigger means one have to be more responsible and more committed to life.

My balls didn't grow any bigger though. But I do received big lollipop!

My friends also prepared gifts for me.

It is creative that it was wrapped with newspaper which is also environmental friendly. "Reduce, Reuse & Recycle" The gift took me quite a time to open because it is wrapped with overlapping of newspaper.

And finally POOF!!! They all got me...

PERFUME!!!

A birthday celebration that was celebrated in the restaurant above. One of the famous non-halal Chinese restaurant in Brunei. It's been opened in Brunei for more than a decade and they have build their own icon since then.

Just like McDonald's. people see the yellow letter "M", people automatically will think of McDonald's.

And Thiam Hock Restaurant has the fish-head as their icon. Of all, why a "Fish-head"? That's because they are famous for its Curry FishHead. When the Chinese in Brunei thinks of Fish-Head, they'll think of Thiam Hock's Curry Fish-Head!

A restaurant which its starting point is from a single shop-sized big serving Curry Fish-Head every night. It is always full house during night time that people have to wait for their turn to dine in.

Until now a double story single shop-sized big which can occupied more people.

The interior of the new first floor is simple and nice that it comes with the Chinese oriental designs. The wall are decorated with Chinese Drawings, the Chinese ornamental plants are placed around, antique crafting of woods also can been in the restaurant and etc.

Other than its simple and nicely decorated place to dine in and its famous Curry Fish-Head, Thiam Hock also serves other nice foods too. These make them one of the favorite place to dine-in in any celebration of any occasions and reservations have to make in advance.

It's Exam Fever

It's EXAMINATION FEVER for those that are studying. Me as well that are having exam until the next week...

Everyone would like to score an "A" or Stars for their results or pass it with flying colors.

In order to do that,

One has to read a lot of books and notes. One has to understand and memorize all the important points from the notes. One has to do lots and lots of revision from day to night and night to day!!!

BUT too much of reading or hours of revision will lead to tiredness and sleepiness. So so much to read but too little time and limit energy to stay up late.

Time like these, a lot will choose COFFEE to be their new best friend. And I had mine which are

Nescafe Cappuccino & Nescafe Latte. Got it from parent of a friend of mine that just got back from their vacation in Australia. Both of them are nice and the smell of the coffee is fragrance.

Both of it are frothy coffee that made me think it is coffee tarik during the first time I made it.

The latte smells great that one cup of it is not enough.

The cappuccino pack comes with chocolate topping that makes the coffee extra taste and extra kick.

And the taste of the cappuccino is extra thick and also extra strong that also make you STRONG after drinking it.

One cup of hot coffee that warms the tummy up. One feeling that is great and refreshing especially during the cool and windy night for revisions. These made me come into a conclusion

Every year on the 25th April, it is a date that me celebrating a birthday of a friend of mine...

Chocolate Mud Cake that is ordered at Apricot Bakery Gadong

Which is Mr. Joshua Goh Chee Hwa's birthday.

And this year, we decided to celebrate it at Tarindak d'Seni.

It is a local restaurant that is newly opened last year at the same building as Brunei Arts and Handicrafts Training Centre.

A place where we can see the Brunei's arts and handicrafts of the master craftsmen and women weavers. It is also a place where trainings and courses are provided for people to pursue the learning of the local arts and handicrafts.

The restaurant is spacious and bright. The surroundings are well decorated with the handicrafts and flowers that it is all well presented under the great and bright lighting. With the decorations and also the great view of the water village that is just by the side of the building, it brings an amazing ambiance for people to dine in.

Tarindak d'Seni also has open kitchen that we can see the chef in action preparing and grilling the foods in action. I can say it is one restaurant that not only suitable for the tourists or the foreigners but also to the locals too. It is a place where we can get to understand more about Brunei in its arts, cultures, traditions and also the FOODS!

And about the foods, Tarindak d'Seni specialize in serving Malay and Local's delicacies. It is all GREAT and MARVELOUS.

That is because I myself enjoy and super duper adore eating those BELACAN and SAMBAL!!!

For its appetizer, they serves wide varieties of Malay local's kueh.

After typing "Restoran Kokokan Ayam" in the google.com search bar, it shows that there are number of people has talked and blogged about it.

These make me want to blog about it too. I also want google.com show my blog when people types "Restoran Kokokan Ayam" :)

Why "Restoran Kokokan Ayam" when we have Rejoice Chicken Rice and Thien-Thien Chicken Rice? That's what I thought at first. After reading reviews from people and CopyCat magazine interviewed the founder of the restaurant who is a 19year old teenager that I find him AMAZING & COOL to has his own business career at the age of his.

He started from a small stall in Sumbangsih Mulia selling his own Fried Keow Tiaw,

To now a boss to himself and also the co-headchef in the restaurant.

After knowing the story of the restaurant, it has changed my thoughts! "Why not Restoran Kokokan Ayam"?

The interior of the restaurant is modern and contemporary which the surroundings are nice and relax to dine in, a place that you can dine in eating the foods with all the sweet time you have.

And the surroundings of the restaurant's wall are decorated with the histories pictures of Brunei that we can see Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien's pictures, the old water villages, the Bandar Seri Begawan and some historical moments of Brunei Darussalam. These is something that reminisces people about the past events of Brunei Darussalam.

Here comes the FOODS!
First of all, introducing you all the starting point food of Restoran Ayam Kokokan.

What We Can Do On Friday & Sunday's Morning

It's been a while that I didn't wake up early during the school off-day on Friday and Sunday.

That is because I'd been sleeping like a sleeping pig for all these while!

It's the school off-day, why not take a rest? Why wake up so early in the morning plus WHAT can we do in the early morning?

There is a proverb saying "The early bird gets the earthworms". Waking early won't bring any loss because by waking up early, we get extra few hours time to do what we want. Within hours, there are a lot of things can be done like going out for morning breakfast with the loves on or having a healthy lifestyle by going for a jog or a hike.

And here's another option that we can do.

Visit the Tamu Kianggeh!

A lot of people has choose to be sleeping beauty or sleeping macho AND has miss one of the wonderful happening in Brunei Darussalam.

A market that has become a tradition and part of the culture of Brunei Darussalam.

Friday & Sunday would be the busiest day throughout the week because it is the off-day of the working class that auntie-aunties and uncles-uncles would buy the vegetables, fruits and meats to refill their refrigerator.

It is part of the tradition which during the old days, the peoples live in the water villages that use their boat to sells their products that are known as the "PADIAN". As time passes by, Brunei had move into the modern era that Government built this Tamu for the PADIAN which are more convenient for them and the people.

And the picture above is the water taxi.

Some have been in the business for decades that all these routines have become part of them. It is time that they can have their rest and enjoy their life but they still wake up early every morning to open the stall. It is them that preserve the tradition. It is the people around, friends around and the feels that make them stay. Something that money could not buy, something that we teenagers may not understand.

Tamu Kianggeh is one place that definitely can promote Brunei Darussalam. By just walking a round in the Tamu, we can understand lots of things about Brunei. Its culture, traditions, peoples, lifestyles, delicacies, products and etc. That is because everything are originally come from the local peoples.

Instead of selling the import rice, beras wangi or beras siam. In tamu, people sells the rice that they grow by themselves.

It is hard to find local handicraft products these day because every where we see these, "Made In China"!!!

But in Tamu Kianggeh, mostly everything is Made In Brunei.

And the animals are made in Brunei too!!!

"The early bird gets the earthworms", by waking up early to go to the Tamu we can buy things that are...

FRESH!!!

Business hours are flexible which the stall owners can go back once their things are sold out that some stalls are open for business only for few hours. We not only going to miss the freshness of the things when we wake up late but also the foods too. The earlier the better would be the good timing to go Tamu cos' we don't want to miss delicious foods like these...

Taking pictures at the Tamu is one of the nicest things to do. A lot of photographers did their photo shoot at Bandar Seri Begawan and the Tamu Kianggeh too.

Because of the great lighting from the sunlight in the early morning, the colorful colors that we can see everywhere, the reflection of light that we can get from the rivers, the vintage effects and feels that we can have that can enhance the quality of the pictures.

Moments like that are moments that we would not want to miss!

Every year, I'd been invited by my cousin to join the family day of their committee. It is the committee of the learning of Taoism. A place where people learns about harmony, caring for each other, loving each other, philosophies of life, the way of living and a lot of good good things.

A person that eats a lot of sweet stuffs, the chance of getting diabetes also high. A person that eats healthy foods and leads a healthy lifestyles eventually have a good body health. We are what we eat! Same goes to life, the persons around us can influence us!

The peoples in the committee are all friendly and very polite which they bow and greet each others with smiles.

Everyone is helpful that they are willing to help each other. The works are well divided among them that everyone know what they are going to do. There is always someone volunteering in helping doing and preparing the things.

The kids are also obedient which they quietly listening and following the instructions of the adults.

It is a family day that there are games for everyone to play. A games that is suitable not only for the kids and the adults but also the elder generations too.

The foods are potluck that foods are prepared by individual families that I able to taste different recipe from every families!

The gathering was at Pantai Muara and it'd been one year since I last visited the place. The last time I'd been to Pantai Muara, it's still under renovation.

The hut for people for picnic are getting more.

They improved the playground which they built better and safety playgrounds for the kids to play around.

The landscapes are beautify with plants and flowers that create a fresh surroundings for people to...

jog or walk around,

And also for cycling...

Other than preparing playground for the kids and the tracks for jogging and cycling,

They also made volleyball site for people to play beach volleyball,

And reflexology site where people walks on the stone with bare foods and it is said that walking on it can improve the health. Of course everyone have to stand the pains. No pain No Gain!

The beach and its surroundings are clean.

It is my first time visiting the restaurant although I'd heard of it since a long time ago. It turns out to be like what I heard and they all said GK restaurant does serves delicious foods! Really belum cuba belum tahu, sekali cuba hari-hari mahu! =D

Of all the Honda's car name I ever heard like Civic, Integra, S2000, Crx, Nsx and a lot more. This is the first time I encounter Honda Euro R. It is the model that is sells in the UK and Europe's market. The market of import cars in Brunei is booming which made Euro R is in the list.

A car that is belong to a friend of mine. One sporty and comfort car to hop in. We don't feel shaky sitting inside in the car even though the car is moving fast. I once drove a car that as long as a car that drove passed by me, i can feel the car is shaking. With Euro R whose chassis is heavier and stable that makes these sedan car fast, comfort and stable.

One 2.0 liter DOHC i-VTEC engine which makes 220horsepower and also comes with 6 speed manual transmission.

Its interior comes with Recaro front bucket seats and limited Momo leather wrapped steering wheel.

Went to Miri with the Euro-R a week before. These makes me again able to share the things to do when going down to Miri.

A skyblue with little green colored painted small wooden shop house that we can see by the roadside at Kampong Sungai Liang.

A place where a lot of people will stop by when going down to KB or going down to Bandar because it is situated at the middle of the destination.

A place that is famous and people all go in and order its Fried Keow Tiaw!

Another things that a lot of guys would want and loves to do in Miri that is...

Massaging! Who doesn't? Massage to release the body-ache and relaxing the body that makes the person more refreshing. And it is the ladies touching up the guy's body! Wooo~

BUT we went for different massage that time. It is not the ladies that touch our body, it is an uncle that touches our body.

And we feel pain instead of SIOK! It is a massage that cures sprained ankles, hands, the pains around the body and etc. We went to cure the pains that had been accumulated from lots and lots of basketball and football's games.

So that we can become back once the SHARP SHOOTER!!!

It costs RM30 for every half hour massage and it makes great differences after the messaging. The uncle massage the nerves inside the body and releases the blocked nerves that causes the pain. After the blocked nerves are release, we can move around more smoothly.

Of all the things to do in Miri, I personally like these the most!

What Anak Brunei Do In Miri

After a week of procrastinating and spending my sweet time with Sony and Astro, here I am back into action once again. A day before my 10days school break start, I SKIPPED school to go Miri.

Cross my fingers that no any discipline actions would be taken on me! =D

Miri is one neighboring place to Brunei. Because of the higher exchange rate of BND to RM, people in Brunei just go there anytime they want.

Other than that, it is the cheaper bargains and varieties of choices which we can get there. Shopping will be one of the must do thing in Miri.

Of course there are also people go there for enjoying, relaxing, clubbing, catching air-plane, sea-foods, fast-foods, seeing doctors, looking for car spare parts and a lot lot more. And also don't forget to mention...

THE STARBUCKS COFFEE!!!

Here is where a lot of Chinese Brunei like to go and the very first place to go in Miri.

"CAFE 2020" A popular spot for people to have breakfast which they serve lots of foods like Kolomee, Porridge, Bak-Kut-Teh, Fried Mee and a lot more that also includes DIM SUM.

Every time I go there the place is always full house that it is pack with customers. People bringing their families for breakfast, couples having breakfast, people having breakfast before going to work, Chinese Brunei having breakfast before going to shop and etc.

Other than varieties choices of products to buy, the foods in Miri also comes in a lot of choices to eat. A lot of delicious foods come from the hawker center that the owners/ boss have their own secret recipe in cooking the signboard dishes.

Kolomee is one of the local's favorite that everywhere in Brunei also sell Kolomee. It may look easy to be cook but there are a few skills to cook one delicious bowl of Kolomee. The ingredients that is important, the quality of the noodles, the timing of the noodles to be cooked, the seasoned oil and etc.

Fook Hai Food Centre, a place that sell completely a different Kolomee comparing to the Kolomee we have in Brunei.

Ever heard or seen "Red Kolomee" in Brunei? Of course not the noodles that is mix with chili or tomato sauce. That's the "Red Kolomee" that is mixed with the Char Siew's oil.

Imagine a bowl of yummilicious Kolomee with a plate of Siew Mai... Awww~ *Saliva Dripping*

Kuching Siew Mai also available for order in Fook Hai Food Centre.

Above is the must do and must go place for the Chinese Brunei. And here's what must do and must go for the majority of the Bruneians which are the FAST-FOODS!!!

Didn't have the chance to try KFC, McD, PizzaHut during that time.

Instead of all above, I tried MarryBrown!
It is one fast-food restaurants that is founded in Malaysia in 1981 and the foods serve are certified HALAL. It is one proud thing for the Malaysia to have fast-foods chain that serves around nation wides that MarryBrown has reached over 250 outlets around.

With the fresh, bright and contemporary looks of the restaurants, it creates one nice and relaxing atmosphere for the customers to dine in.

The foods are nice that they really meets the high quality and standard. If I wasn't told that MarryBrown is founded in Malaysia, I would think it is one fast-foods restaurant that is introduced in USA or Europe just like KFC or McD. The fries doesn't taste like normal fries where we can have it in normal restaurants or the fries that we fry ourselves.

The fried-chickens is juicy and the meats are tender. Just the first bite on the fried-chicken, it just brings back the feels of the old time. It is just like the kids that are so happy when eating the big, tasty and juicy drumstick.

Having fries and fried chicken aren't enough in fast-foods, it is not satisfying without these...

The Burger. MarryBrown has their newest burger menu which is the HOT TOUCH TOWER BURGER!

It is the burger that is prepared with veggie, mayonnaise, the upper part of the meat is the processed chicken burger meat and the bottom layer is the fresh chicken meat. And cheese is put in between the two burger meats! Definitely a burger that is a must order in MarryBrown!

"Something Different" is the slogan of MarryBrown. It is really something different comparing to the local fast-foods restaurants that we have in Brunei or in Malaysia. They did great efforts in the marketing which MarryBrown also uses ambassador to promote it.

Just like KFC that has Colonel Sanders, McD has Ronald McDonald. MarryBrown did something different.

MarryBrown uses one of the Malaysia's Icon which is MAWI as its ambassador. What if one day when Mawi got old, then MarryBrown would have "Colonel Mawi"!

A post that is about HIM...

Not the big one, it's the small one! He is the nephew of my friend. This cute little monster over here brings joy to everyone around as everyone laugh out loud whenever he is around. His name is "HONG-HONG"!!!

But...

He always introduce himself as "WANG LEE-HOM"! And he can sing "Wei Yi, 唯一" One of Lee-Hom's famous song.

One very active and energetic kid that likes to run and play around. He likes to ask questions which he asks a lot and asks until we also don't know how to answer him. He likes to be adults which he imitates what the adults do and say. He can sometime be naughty too! But looking at his innocent looks, don't know that we should be angry or should be happy! Why Labuan?

I'd been to Labuan twice in half year time. Two time may sounds little but it is a lot to me because in this half year time I'd been to Labuan more than Miri.

BUT why more Labuan than Miri? Miri has more shopping center than Labuan, Miri is nearer than Labuan, Miri has Starbucks and Labuan doesn't. WHY?

Is it because of the nightlife in Labuan is more fun than Miri?

Is it because of the beers taste different than others? Nehh, but Labuan has the cheapest beer among all other Malaysia states which is because everywhere you'll see DUTY-FREE!!! Click on the "LINK" to view on the entry of Duty-Free in Labuan.

Or is it because of the girls?

Or is it because of the ship? Sitting on a ship is not something that happen on my everyday life!

Or is it the sea-foods that I can enjoy by the sea-side?

If anyone ask me what do I enjoy the most other than the foods @ Labuan. I would answer...

It would be the LIVE-BAND! Almost all the clubs @ Labuan come with Live-Band performances. Imagining that drinking the cool beers and enjoying the songs that we love. Life is about chilling! The live-band performances in Labuan are all ass-kicking.

Other than the DJs spinning the mixer to spice up everyone,

Crossroad is the club that I visited during the second trip. The place is big that the ground floor is the disco area and where the Live-Band performs.

From the experiences I had, Labuan is one place that you'll want to go again and again. The people there are friendly, the foods and drinks are cheap, the McDonald's open 24hours everyday. Other than that,

It is one peaceful place that is not "Armed & Dangerous"!!!

I'm Lovin' It Labuan

I had the chance to go Labuan again during last Chinese New Year. My first time visit Labuan was during the Hari Raya Adilfiltri celebration @ 2009.

I at first thought Labuan is just a small island with nothing much to see and do. I was wrong that Labuan maybe small compare to Brunei but it has what Brunei doesn't has.

First of all is its "NightLife" where people can go clubbing, drinking, dancing, relaxing themselves enjoying the live band performances and etc.

Other than that, it is actually quite a same like Brunei...

Brunei has Mohan's carpet, Labuan also has it.

Brunei has KFC, Labuan also has it BUT they have even more efficient KFC...

Which their KFC opens 24hours everyday!!!

And during my second visit to Labuan, I found out that Labuan also has this...

McDonald's which located @ the Airport of Labuan. I am so exciting of visiting it once I heard there is McD @ Labuan...

These just make me LOVE Labuan even more!!!

The nicest thing of all is that the McDonald's also opens 24hours daily!

It was 3.30 AM when I visited McD that time for takeaway alone together with the taxi driver and I thought I would be the only one visiting the place @ time like these.

And I was wrong AGAIN. Nights are always young in Labuan!

Other than opening 24hours daily, there are more extra menus than in Brunei.

They have different menus on different time period. From 4 a.m to 10 a.m in the morning, McDonald's has their own breakfast menus for the customer to order and within that time period, menus like Spicy Chicken McDeluxe, Big Mac, Double Cheeseburger, Fish O Fillet and etc are not available but only the Breakfast At McDonald's Menus.

The menus shown on the board and the staffs just have to spin over the board to change the menu served on the different time period.

McDonald's Labuan did a great job in managing its business that it keeps all its promises. Quality, Service and Cleanliness is promise to the customer, the board isn't hanging up on the wall just like that.

They really did it which the place is clean & tidy, not only that but also the interior is nice. They also have WiFi services for people to connect to the internet. This explain why there are still lots of people visiting McD at late night, it is like a cafe to them. Unlike Brunei which has lots of cafe, Labuan has DiscoTech Club, Lounge & Pub instead of cafe.

They also have friendly staffs that serves the customers with smiles.

Life As An Agriculture Student

After working part-time for a year and the half, I got the letter of offer from Sekolah Vokasional School to study the course, "Agriculture Science". Of course I am happy because I can pursue higher education since the day I scored 3 [U]nbelievable in my "A"level.

I felt excited and at the same time nervous too which I think a lot. Thinking of how I am going to be to start school once again. A lot of thoughts came into my mind before the school start. I think of...

Can I pass all the subjects with flying colors?

Will I be the student that is hardworking and concentrate in every class attended?

Or I will be the same as before which I always sleep in the class ?

Will I be able to complete all the tasks and assignments given by the teachers?

Am I going to be the good student that follow the school's rules and also the A1 student that carries lots of files and things around me?

Or I just be the ROCK & ROLL student?

All these are the thoughts that came into me before the school starts. All these just make me excited and nervous which I'm going to a new environment and also get to know new people. Will I be able to do it? What will I do when the times come?

Finally the days of awaiting for so long had come. All the things that I thought of is going to be reality. School started on the 6th July 2009.

TAPI horr, things turned out to be slightly different as I thought. I'm still the student that carry a backpack filled with books, laptop bag and also files filled with notes.

And I also got voted to become the school's HEADBOY!!! [Thing that I didn't and never think of!]

Sometime I could be the rock & roll student too. But here is what the difference from other school! As an agriculture student, other than studying the theories there are LOT of practical works to do. Not like the practical that I had in secondary school which I sit in the lab and play with the labo gas.

Here is what we do in Wasan Vocational School!

I have the chance to study about Paddy & Rice! Not study in the air-conditioning room BUT under the hot sun and on the mud!!!

We all have the experience of planting the paddy...

Paddy is not the only crop that we experienced here, but also the rest which...

We also learn about planting the vegetable crops...

Learning it as in starting from the scratch,

that we had to clear the land for making raised bed for planting...

using machine to cultivate the soil for planting...

Hoe and Shovel had become our new best-friends that we always need it for crop management and maintaining of the drainage...

With all the efforts and hard works that we have to do out theories in the class, assignments and reports coming in non-stop then need to go to the field and do the farming. I can said it is very tiring that sometimes we had to go back at 6 plus in the evening and have to go back to school during the holidays...

That just made me sometime wanna

Despite the tiredness, school life is always fun no matter what.

There are fun things to do too other than working on the field. Things like seeing the crops that we grow from the seeds, by seeing it grow each day to flowering and finally the vegies are ready to be harvested. It just make you happy and have the sense of satisfactions after all the hard works putted in.

And if people ask me what's the fun of what I'm doing in the school. I would answer this...

Driving the tractor around the school campus. School campus is big which took some time to travel here and there, while driving enjoying the wind breeze and the tractor is 4WD some more. It is built for heavy-duty use!

That's my life in Vocational Wasan School.

Still remember a post that is written under the title's name "Saya Budak Cina Tahun 80an". A post that talks bit about what I had when I'm small comparing to kids nowadays whom they had missed a lot. What had been talk the most in that post is the FOODS! -.-!!

And here's another post about another place that was famous during the 80's & 90's for the Chinese. That is what I had during my childhood which it is like sugus and it cost 20cent per stick in the school canteen. The packing had changed since back then.

A place maybe your parents celebrated their wedding's dinner at. A place maybe your grandparents had their birthday celebration at. A place where you celebrated your "full moon" at.

It is also a popular place for morning tea for families on the Sunday.

The LUCKY RESTAURANT!

Ground floor of the restaurant. The restaurant is divided into two floor. Ground floor is where we want to have simple and fast meal. Fast meal as in we order the foods, eat it and then ciao! When I'm small, my dad often brought us here to have our dinner which I ordered its Fried Rice and my mum and little brother ordered its Pandan Rice for YEARS...

And up-stair is more nicer because it is where all the celebration took place. A place where mother and father's day were celebrated, a place where Chinese had their reunion dinner and etc. Place that we eat slowly enjoying the ambiance.

It's definitely every families choice in the past. But things had changed since the 2000. Business had decrease a lot compare before. Not much people's having their wedding celebration as they need bigger place and more luxurious place like ballrooms. And there are a lot of place to celebrate the reunion dinner, birthdays, father and mother day that the customers had spread out. Eventually Lucky Restaurant had changed a few owners but the name still remain because of its NAME that had built for decades.

Even though it had changed its owner but other things and staffs remained unchanged except for the owner.

During the Chinese New Year, I had the chance to visit it again since a long time with my friends to have dinner. It does bring back a lot of memories I had during the past and the foods still taste tasty as before.

It had been two months since we both met and I'm still in the process getting know more about her.

Two months ago, she is a stranger to Brunei because she came all the way from China. Brunei is a new environment for her as everything seems unfamiliar. It would takes times and efforts for her to get used what's in Brunei. A new surroundings & peoples for her to know, new cultures for her to learn and new lifestyles for her to adapt.

The better way to learn all those above is go for many many outings!

She get to watch the last [HOME] game played by Barracudas Brunei in National Indoor Stadium. [The second roll film used, mostly every pictures in that film turned out to be very very blurry]

Brunei is a Muslim country that is MIB, "Melayu Islam Beraja". Showing her around and learn the cultures that are different from we Chinese.

Brought her to the busy commercialized areas in Brunei-Muara that are the Kiulap and Gadong to see the lifestyles in Brunei. [Seemed that images taken on daytime with strong-light exposure is not blurry compare to the one taken in areas with low-light exposure]

In 2months time, she also get to witnessed one of the grandest celebration celebrating in Brunei that is the National Day. [Picture was taken in the car on the way to BSB from Kiulap]

Chinese New Year is all about visiting houses to houses and wish everyone a prosperous new year!

It was one great dinner I had with few of my closest friends.

Diana is hard to control because she is sensitive.

Once the hands move a bit while holding/ releasing the shutter, the pictures turn out to be blurry. Even with the viewfinder, it is hard to capture the right angle. Numbers of picture that turned out different from what I see from the viewfinder while capturing it. The pictures either showing the only half of the people or the only half of the things.

Even though Diana is sensitive and hard to understand...

She could be nice in some ways too! The outcome of the pictures are FANTASTIC and UNIQUE! It does give the dreamy and vintage effects that reminds everyone of the Classics.

Things I founded so far about Diana & Lomography can do is these.

Double-Exposure that there is image overlapping on the other one. [Click the shutter once. Without rolling the film into the next frame, click the shutter one more time and the pictures are overlapping on each other]

After finding out good things about Diana [Lomography]. It just worth the patience contributed.

The long-exposure that is simple to be done. The 3pictures above were taken inside the car while it is moving. [All we have to do is switching the camera into "B" which is the night mode. Click and hold the shutter as long as we want, let the light moves in and release the shutter]

But one thing that is scary about Diana too. She does not bite! Because she is one analogue camera and pictures are all captured in film. It is very dangerous that

PMB, "O" level & "A" level's results are out and everyone is busy thinking where to go and what to study! 17th and the 18th February 2010 was the open day for my school. It is the day which the school open to the public for the visit to let them know what courses are offered there and what do each course's students do in the school.

The school provides 3 courses for the National Trade Certificate and 3 courses for the National Diploma. The courses provided are the Agriculture Science, Fisheries Studies, Biotechnology Studies and Food Technology & Processing.

Of all the courses above, Food Technology & Processing is what that caught my attention. After visiting their site, i found that all the foods students are great.

I find them great & steady because Food Technology only offering NTC that opens to the students after having their PMB result. Which means its like going to technical school after "O" level.

They are so cool that age like that, they learn how to process foods and prepare it in kitchen.

And most of the kids around that age still at home playing TV games! Instead of cooking themselves a meal, they just shout: "Auntieeee or Mummyyyyy, is the foods readyyyy?"

Kids around age 14 -15 in Wasan School cooks instead of playing TV games.

And COOKING IS FUN!!!

Not only they got the chance to learn cooking, they actually learn about the science of the foods and learn the method of process it from raw materials. Like making fish balls from fish meats, making nuggets from chicken meats, making burger meat from the raw meat. Everybody can cook but not all can process!

And they also make drinks too! During the two days open day @ school, the students in food technology & processing course sell all their hard work products that they made and at the same time promote about their course. Everything is paid off that business is doing GREAT for the two days. Kacchinggg $_$

Of all the products selling like boxing chicken, chicken nugget, drinks, nasi lemak and etc, the foods that I LOVE the most is the BURGER!

The burger that I said it is only available and the only one in Kg. Wasan. The burger that is available only once a year which is during the open day of the school!

And my most favorite, Fish Fillet Burger! and for the two days, I ordered the Fish Fillet Burger Special with Egg & Cheese that cost $3.00! The fish fillet is thick that really satisfied the big man's appetite.

Even start from really low like National Trade Certificate also can climb step by step to the top. From NTC to National Diploma and then Higher National Diploma and so on! It might take longer time to climb to the top but they start climbing at the age of 14-15 which is so early. And being young is everything.

The admission form can be take in Wasan Vocational School's administration office and submitted not later than 1st of March.

Jerudong Park Playground, one of the hottest spot in Brunei in the 90's. It was the main attraction of tourists at that time before the Empire Hotel & Country Club. It was opened @ 1994. It was glorious back then that people around the South East Asia would come to Brunei for JP! Kids including ME at that time love weekend & holidays because that's the time we all go JP. And I remembered every time i visited there, it was packed with people and cars.

It was the only amusement theme park in South East Asia that does not charge the public with admission fee. People just enter the park and also play the rides for FREE. All everyone have to do is queue. That is one of the reason that attract people at that time. Not only the rides are free for the public to play but also the tickets to see the live performance of Micheal Jackson's concert were also FREE.

BUT JP now had left nothing much but memories. During the economic crisis in 1997, it is the time when the state of the park started to decline. They had to cut cost which JP sent back a lot of technicians & engineers and the maintainability of the rides are getting less. People started to worry to sit on the ride, numbers of tourists dropped due to the economic crisis. A lot of factors that caused the fall of JP. A lot of the rides had sold to other countries and what's left now are the...

And also rides like Go Karts, Pedal Boats, Junior Pirate Ship and etc that remains. The rides that remain now are the kiddie ride but not the KICK ASS like the roller coaster, giant drop, pusing lagi, boomerang and etc. All those had sold to other countries.

However the park did not close due to conditions like these, it is switching & moving towards a more family oriented theme park that focusing on rides and events which draw in mums, dads & kids. Could not hear Screaming at around the park like before as people were riding the adrenaline filled rides.

Everyone now can have good time relaxing in the park with their families and friends that they can have picnic gathering around the playgrounds. Kids are the main target market of JP that parents would bring their kids to enjoy the Eco-friendly surroundings around.

And also playing around the playgrounds.

The park now is trying to revive its ambiance that make people would visit it frequently. JP has these mini amphitheater where local artists can do their performing in time to time. We can see teenagers playing street football inside and also...

Heard that there are several future planning for the redevelopment of the park. These will be good instead of letting the park to rot. A lots had changed since back then. There also have thing that does not change since the 1994. It used to have a lot of people visiting that area and it is the same now.

The stall that had run its business since the 90's which are famous back then until now. Everyone would drive extra kilometers for these and that includes ME!

The stall that is famous for its "SALAI" (BBQ)!

They are good in barbecuing the BBQ chicken wings and BBQ Tongkeng. Its taste still the same like before where the outer parts (skin) are crunchy to bite and the meats inside are soft and tender. CRISPY + TENDER = definitely a nice BBQ wings & tongkeng to munch inside the mouth.

The business is so good that we all have to queue and wait for our order to be ready. The orders just keep coming and coming, the people just keep getting more and more and the workers just keep barbecuing and barbecuing non-stop! Everyone is willing to wait that long for it.

And I waited around 30minutes plus for my order to be done.

Red color is the favorite color of the Chinese. That is why we see RED everywhere during the Chinese New Year's festive. Red lanterns, red banners, red packets, red clothes, red bra, underwear & etc. RED, the color of luck and harmony.

Secret Recipe is widely known cake-house & cafe that was founded in Malaysia that became franchise that are serve also in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, China, Pakistan and now in BRUNEI.

And its direct translation means "Going out and in safely". It means like having a safe trip or journey. Tomorrow is a remarkable day for the Chinese, everyone going out to visit families, relatives and friends. A lot of open house gathering to join, becoming 2weeks of god of gamblers, drinking alcohol for the happiness and also going back home late.

Gong Xi Valentine Dinner.
Wonder if business is working well for the promotion or not. That's because mostly of the foreigners had gone back to their hometown to celebrate with their families that a quarter of the Chinese is not in Brunei.

Then the another quarter of the local Chinese will be busy celebrating the New Year with families and friends...

And lastly the remaining half of the Chinese will be spending the time together with Mahjong, Dominoes and Card's game! That is in the blood of the Chinese that Chinese like to gamble.

Despite the gambling, there are still romantic peoples out there that would want to celebrate Valentine Day with the love one. Time like these, it is wise that we make out the time and celebrate it with the love one or else...

Ended up sleeping with the dominoes or cards for the rest of the night.

A simple celebration would be fine for valentine. At least let the other half know that date like these you would want to have it with the love one. A simple dinner with simple gift will do. Why not a day going out for a romantic dinner at romantic place during the romantic time.

Not only myself but also those smiley faces people above do agree that Senja Lounge is a nice place to dine in & relax with families or with couple number of friends. A place that fits in for any occasions and celebrations which includes this coming Gong Xi Valentine day.

The foods served here are all based on the Western Cuisines and it is really tasty. And it is worth the price ranging from $15-$30. Even though I'm not a person that always walk in into Western Cuisine restaurant but I can say Senja did a good job in impressing the first timer like me. It does makes me want to go back for more of it.

Right after we had our order, we were given complimentary breads that comes with plain butter.

When we don't want the complimentary bread be eaten with just plain butter. I recommend these. For the first timer like me, THE SENJA PRAWN & BLUE CHEESE (B$12.00) is a MUST order's menu. The cheeses are extra cheesy and served in HOT that the cheese dissolving into the bread when it is dip inside the bowl. And then put it in the mouth and chew it. The cheeses flow out just like squeezing a wet sponge.

And at first before the Blue Cheese is ready to be served, I thought Blue Cheese supposed to be these BLUE!!! Hahaha!

For the appetizers, we ordered the blue cheese and also this CALAMARI SPECIAL (B$5.00) to open up the appetite.

Think of the name, "Senja Lounge Grill Room" it does delivers message telling that their signboard's menus are the grilled & the barbecue. Going to Senja Lounge without ordering the Blue Cheese and its Steak would be like going to Kuching without trying its Kuching Laksa, going to Seria without trying the Seria Kolomee & Keow Tiaw, going to Thien Thien Chicken Rice without trying the chicken rice.

Traditional Steak (B$20.00) The steaks they served do come in various size and weight that makes it different costs too. The higher the price, the bigger the portion.

Another Steak's menu, forget about the name and this one costs B$22.00!

And lastly, the last menu of the post. Senja Pepper Steak (B$31.00)

And when everyone thinks that is all for the menu, it is wrong! Every plate like the lamb, chicken cordon and the steaks do come with vegetable salads for us to eat with. And the salad vegetables come with the choice of various salad sauce.

All the foods sure taste great and great foods sure have to eat with great drinks too. People like to drink wine while enjoying the lamb-chops and steaks. It will be like eating char kueh without kopi o if there is no wine while enjoying the tasty savors. Senja does not want to disappoint its customers like the AngMoh & the Chinese.

That they actually allow customers to bring wine and drink it while having the meal. As long as we order the foods there, they won't charge us extra penny on it.

Isn't it a great and romantic place to go and relax. GREAT place, GREAT food and can also bring GREAT drinks!

Imagine that again!!! Woah! "Kuai Mui" on the menu. Woo~ What could it be ah? Order it without thinking any further.

Sabotaging The School Rules

Studying time is long. Everyday I have to attend class from 8am to 430pm. In between these long hour I have 2hours of lunch break which I didn't go back home to have it. School is far from my house that takes 25minutes to reach which is time and also petrol consuming. So everyday during my lunch break, I'll spend the two sweet hours here...

The school's library! The school is still new and there aren't much students studying. The library will only packed with a few people during the break. This is where I find peace because it is so calm and quiet and the air-cond is super kick-ass cold. Definitely a place to relax. The library also equipped with wi-fi that I can surf and msn when there are not any assignments to be done. When I'm not doing any of it, I'll just SLEEP!!!

It is neat and spacious. The surrounding also clean. It is well tidy by the school cleaners and "well-manage" by the librarians. Thanks to them, I always enjoy my time spending in the library doing my things. And what does it take to manage a clean and tidy library like these?

Of course the RULES that are needed to be obey. Indeed A LOT of it some more. Cannot do these, cannot do that. Must do these, must do that! I guess it does really take a lot to make it one successful library.

And sometimes rules are meant to be broken too! :)

Having hand-phones in the library is breaking the rules too. Why not we just silence the hand-phone while we are inside. Isn't it a two win-win result? I silently play my phone without disturbing anyone and the library still peacefully as ever.

Please put the books on the table and do not place them on the shelves!

And what are these? -.-!! What does the meaning of the rule above trying to deliver?

I agreed with these! Library is a place to read books, do research, do assignments & reports, surfing, rest and etc. Definitely not a place for foods. If want foods and drinks, we can always go to the canteen where they sell tasty Nasi Lemak and Indomie Mee Goreng with Mata Lembu!

What if the drink got spill and got the wording of the books blur? What if the drink got spill and got the carpet dirty? It will create extra works for you, the librarian and also the cleaner. Having foods and drinks in the library will just making extra works and troubles for everyone.

Business For a Day

Had the chance to visit the Business School @ Gadong today. It was my class field trip. The school is located at the back junction to enter Maktab Duli College and also opposite to University Islam Sultan Sharif Ali.

Business School is obviously a school where people study business. Today happened to be the day that the senior student have to do "Business For A Day" as part of their assignment and report. They were asked to make business for a day at school.

It is a business which all the students are allow to sell and promote almost anything. As long as it is within the law and also brings in PROFIT ! Yeah, who wants to rugi!

From selling computer's accessories......

To slippers...

To ladies' wears and accessories...

To jeweleries...

To bookmarks and key chains...

To playing video games...

So many things we can find here, it is like garage sales to me where we can find a lot of things in one place. Problem is all the businesses running good?

I'd met my friend there, Siti Khadijah. She said that it is earning, she had earned quite a lot by just selling D.I.Y bookmarks, photo-frames and key-chains. Not bad huhh for a student.

And also not to forget to mention about the FOODS! Foods & Beverages is the business that a lot of students chosed for their business for a day activity. The demands are high that everywhere we go, how could we be so mean to let our stomach goes empty. There would be competitive for the foods & beverages' business.

Having competitors in a business is not a bad thing at all. Let's think for the good sides. With competitors around, we always have to be the best around in the market in order not to be disqualify from the market. And for these, we keep to upgrade and improve in order to beat the others.

When everyone does these, more new & better services are provided to the consumers. These not only benefits to the market but also to us, the one who enjoying it. Others are selling cup-cakes, biscuits, spaghetti, home-cooked dishes, kuih melayu and etc. In order to be special, this booth in the picture above sells BBQ lamb with fried-fries. Not only they earn $$$, we also get to enjoy the foods.

Not only new services are provided while having competitors, but also products that keep introduced to the market to grab profit.

Nehh, just kidding. It is egg-tarts with too much colorings added. The colors looks like the yolk of salty egg to me.

Having good services and products is not enough to earn money. Marketing also the tools for boosting the sales of products and services. Without marketing, how people going to know what we're doing and selling. We have to expose outside to let people know about us. If not, it'll be like selling cheap deal iPhone in the jungle. Who will know and go to buy? Orang-Hutan?

The students understand the power of marketing that they do their adverts and paste it on the notice board. We get to see these adverts right before we enter the school. Some also made BIG banners to attract the customers.

The Lucky 4 booth, wonder how is the business going for them? Is it a lucky day for them today? Let's hope they are doing alright because for us Chinese, 4 is not a good digit to choose. It means "DIE"!!!

Pehin Lau's 60th Wedding Anniversary

Love is always sweet at first! The time that we get to know each other at first. We talk a lot in the phone to understand each other more, we go out frequently to see each other more, we do something to each other to show that we do really like each other, we message each other when we miss each other. Everyday seems to be lively being together and everyday is like valentine day.

But once we get to understand more about each other and found the weakness of each other, it was not like it used to be. We start to get to know their weakness more than their good points. We don't talk, don't see, don't message and etc frequently as it used to be. Slowly and slowly love starts to fade.

It is like choosing a stone, we always want to have a more shining stone that we seeks all the time. By the time we found it, we may not know it is the right stone or not. Instead of spending the whole time searching for a better one, why not spend the whole time rubbing the stone we have now and lastly it can be the most shining stone around. Let's work things out together and we'll find that knowing each other is one of the sweetest thing that ever happened! And everyday also a valentine day!

It's never too OLD to be romantic. Here's a entry about Pehin Lau's 60th wedding anniversary that I attended with my friends in a month ago.

It was one grand wedding celebration dinner that the ballroom is fully packed people, a lot had been invited to share these happiness together. While enjoying the dinner, the guests were given freebies as souvenir, enjoying Chinese orchestra music & dance performances, hearing the speech given by Pehin Lau and also enjoying a slide-show presentation about the memory lane of Pehin Lau.

Pehin Lau and his wife together with their sons, daughters, sons & daughters in law and grandsons giving a toast with the guests. That's a picture that everyone always dream of having in their life.

What does it takes to hold a marriage long like these? A simple action everyday towards each other, in the end we'll build one extraordinary marriage.

A simple phone call asking how each other doing, a sms telling each other I love you, a simple hug, a simple kiss, a simple meal prepared, a simple encouragement and support and etc. All these "simple" everyday and in the end it is one extraordinary "simple"!

My Love Story with Diana Continues...

It had been weeks that me and Diana spent our time together days and nights. Love is always sweet at first that the time spent with Diana is fun and enjoyable. Things started to go better as we go out more frequently that I'm still trying to understand her to make things work out better.

She came from the family known as "LOMOGRAPHY". A family that is famous for its soft & dreamy images, super saturated colors, random contrast, unpredictable blurring and etc.

It was love at the first sight that I met her online through one of my friends. Diana is something new to me which I don't have any ideas about it at the first. I then googled it to know more about her. As I step more further in knowing about her, it just make me want to have her more but it is just a dream for me at first. That's because I'd never seen camera like this before in Brunei.

What about the film? There still have a few photo-shop in Brunei selling the 35mm film that can be used in the camera and also can develop it. If only it is 35mm film. I had ask some photo-shop which some had sold out the film and doesn't import film like these again because a lot using digital now. It's like finding gold in the big pond now. No film how to shoot?

No worries, Icklebooks does sell the film too. Instead of selling the film that we can find at the photo-shops, they sells the films that is specialized designed and manufactured by lomography for lomography. Year 2000 is a start of a new millennium. Things had changed a lot no matter from what aspects. Things are getting more and improved. From an antenna mobile to touch-screen phone, from monochrome TV to LCD TV now and etc. All these had showed what a remarkable era we have now.

This is what we all had back then in da 80's & 90's.

And we find it entertaining and cool.

That was years back, but in the 2000s people start to think iPhone is COOLER!

When all the things had changed and new things had introduced to us, we start to forget what we are and how things are in the past. Especially to the kids these day in the 2000, they missed out a lot of awesome things that had happened in our life back in the 80's & 90's.

Every Sunday or any school holiday, they would want their parents bring them to Mc'D to have the "Happy Meal". Without knowing, they had missed something and somewhere that is nice to do & go on Sunday!

Which is having DimSum @ Phong Mun Restaurant! It is located at Bandar Seri Begawan, above of DQ Ice Cream at Jln Sultan. Dining in at the restaurant can let us have the view of Kampong Ayer. It is one very well known place for its Sunday's morning DimSum feast and also wedding's celebration dinner. But nowadays, it is not lively as before due to the things changed around from the 90's to the new millennium.

Someday in December 2009, I had the chance to visit Phong Mun Restaurant with my friends and tried the DimSum served.

It was nice, tasty and visiting back there sure does bringing back a lot of memories and feels. Let's see one of the best Chinese restaurants in Brunei serving one of the best DimSum! *Drum-rollingggg*

Am I Ready For A New Relationship?

It had been a while since I'm in a relationship.

From what I had experienced, relationship thing is one magical and wonderful thing that ever happened to us human. It brings joy and at the same time also pain to us.

The sweetest thing that happened in a relationship is those times which we spent together. The time that you message me telling that you love me, the time that you hold me with your hands, the time that you lean on me while watching movie and etc. All these had come to an end with nothing but memories.

Love is just like drinking plain water. By adding syrup at it would make it tasted sweet. By adding lime into it would make it tasted sour. Everyone would like the taste of sweet but not all can tolerate the taste of sour.

And the sour part in relationship is the time that we have to say goodbye. It was hard for me at first that I kept asking myself

WHY things had to turn out to be like that! WHY love has to be that cruel!! WHY it has to be me!!!

Life has to move on that we're moving forward instead backward. Even if we want, it can't be help too. How to turn back time? After sometime, life had gone back as it used to be and found that

Love is not a cruel thing at all. It is something that we live in, grow up with and learn from it whenever it is sweet or sour.

Recently I met someone online and it was love at the first sight. Everything has to start from ground-zero that I am still in the process of getting to know her. The good thing is that we are going out together a lot.

Lucks come and go. We may don't know when we're going to be lucky or not. We can only know whether we're lucky on or after things had happened.

For example, today while walking around the streets and bump into a hundred dollar note on the road. We'll be consider it lucky to have extra $ that we can right away go McDonald's and order BIG MAC & McNuggets XL! The same thing, instead of picking up a hundred dollar note we step on doggy's poo poo. We'll be like "Nabehhhh"!!! and consider it a bad day to start.

Everyday is a good day for us if we look at it on a good way!

Recently there is one place selling tasty kolomee that had closed down its business. It had been a bad news for the people that loves to eat the kolomee there. It had been all time favorites for the Chinese that the old one, the young one would go there to try the kolomee every weeks or once in a while.

It is known as the Ocean Quarry's Kolomee. The business at Jalan Tutong, Madewa there had closed down.

Bye Bye, one of the delicious kolomee in Brunei.

However lucks never dry out, after a big heavy rain the rainbow always show up telling us that there is always hope for us! It is now moved to Jalan Muara, Simpang 1029! Right after we enter the junction, we get to see the sign above stated Kolomee in Chinese.

I dine-in there every Friday. So far it is my second time and it is still counting.

The taste is still the same as before and fragrance as before. Even it had moved far away but there is still people who would drive extra miles just for its kolomee and kolomee pok. And one of them would be...

ME!!!

BUT don't every try our luck on Wednesday on trying the kolomee! Because how lucky and good we are on that day, we just can't have it.

That is because it's CLOSED on Wednesday!

My First Exp @ Kimchi Restaurant

It has been a long since I last eat Korea's cuisine. It has been so long that I nearly forget how sour can a KIMCHI taste...

Someday in the December 2009, I had the chance to try one of newly established Korean restaurant in Kiulap.

It was the KIMCHI restaurant that located to Regent Square Kiulap, just beside of the Dunes cafe.

It was my first time experience to dine in at the restaurant and it was one nice experience too. The staffs there are friendly and serve you with their beautiful smile. It is hard to find friendly workers these day. I had experiences that when we dine into the restaurant and we have to see the worker's face and they gave us an attitude.

Everyone want to have their meals happily.

And no one...

No one want to have their meal that can spoil their mood! No one want to come out from the place that they just dined at disappointingly.

ANDY VUN!!! And he received an iPhone on his very own day too.

An iPhone which its specification is custom designed to satisfy this man! But it is an iPhone that could not call, could not send sms but can receive sms! That is because it is Handmade!

Other than that, majority of the iPhone's features still remains the same.

A lot of small icons at its home-screen that is actually the same as the real one.

See, it is still able to read SMS sent by others and we able to slide the screen to view the next sms!

The only thing that is special and the latest iPhone 3gs that sells on the market also didn't come with this specification, it is the only thing that is different from the real iPhone which is its memory.

This one comes with "1TB'!

Right after the dinner, we went to Kianggeh food-court to sit and had some Teh-C Tarek.

Time flies!

Just like the speed of light! 2009 just passed and now it is 2010. It is so fast that sometime we missed some of the moments and chances. What past had past, we can't turn back time but we can learn from the past and make better changes for the time up ahead us. Let's us all have a great 2010!

Right before 2009 ended, i have the chance to meet new people from country that is far far away. It is my first time experienced to bring strangers that I met through the internet and show them around in Brunei. And whats more new is that they are...

ANG MOH!!! Say hi to Inaki & Esther! They came all the way from Spain to try the local cuisine and love Brunei a lot. It was a nice time spending with them that we talked and laughed.

And before the 2009 end, I spent the last of it at my cousin's place with my family and relatives. As mentioned before on the previous post, December is the month of barbecue!

2010 reminds me of school reopen! Awww~ It also had been a while since I had long holiday. The time I totally put the word "school" aside! It was a fun holiday that I spent all the time with my friends.

But sometime having too much free time is not good too. It is because by the time we woke up, we don't know what to do next and seems like there are no aim or any productivity on the day. These are the times that we started to do some "no-life" thing!

Another Short One Again

Another short update again, other than holiday that makes me think what December is all about. It does make me think of others too.

Such as,

BARBECUE!

It is the month of celebration. Celebration of a year of hard works at school, the flying color result that everyone scored, Merry Christmas and the Happy New Year. It is celebration that we all want to have it with Barbecuing the foods that we like, having it and spending all the time with the people that are close!

Went for hiking again yesterday. This is the third time I hiked this month and it is a record breaking which I hike continuously in the same month since I last hiked few years back. Gambateh!

It is nice to hike with companions that we can talk along the way. It is better than alone walking through the jungle. Other than that, if one is tiring and could not continue any farther there is still other there to help in carrying. It is better that we all can take care of each other all through the way. That is because...

Hiking can be Dangerous!!!

Tasek Lama has been the place where I used to hike and it's still the same place I go now. Bukit Shahbandar also a nice place to hike where we can see the sea by the top of the hills. Why not I choose there? That's because It is SUPER KICK-ASS intensive while hiking at there & I'm NOT ready for it.

Other than that, there are foods selling around there and it is not far away from Tasek. And we can reach there just by walking instead of driving. Me, Chee Hwa, Andy & Jestina decided to stop there for breakfast after the walk.

Just A Short Update On Myself

It has been a while that I didn't post updates or pictures about the plants that I planted at school. It is school holiday now that after 6months of hard works, let's have a good rest and let's not think about school!!!

Instead of going to school frequently to check on the plants, I go to chill out with friends everyday at kedai kopi, restaurants, cafe and etc. We hockien calls these activity as "LimTeh", drinking tea. A day I can at least drink 3 cups of it with different people and enjoying it with chit-chatting with them.

One day I had received the message of mother nature that my teacher messaged us to go back school for a briefing. I did went back and check on my plants. Not only all the plants are growing, the weeds are growing. LOTS of weeds! hehe.

Here is a little update on the plants.

[LadyFinger] Week 1, The first germination from the seeds planted.

Week 5, Isn't it mother nature that miracle! From a seed that grows into these.

After I don't know how many weeks it is...

The plants grow flower on it. Woo!!! LadyFingers have flower too!

[Spinach] Week 1, everything is so tiny and look fragile.

After I don't know how many weeks later...

Poof!!! Spinach does really make you grow STRONG and BIG just like Popeye.

Other than going out hanging out with friends. I also joined a basketball tournament with friends that I used to play with before. It had been very long time since I last played basketball.

The name of the team, TTCO ent.

It also had been a long long time since I had basketball jersey hanging in my cabinet. Let's see how is the result so far for the team.

First game lost to EasyWay Kiulap and I scored 2points only. Second game lost to Pyrogen and I didn't score. Third game still lost again to Seri Bangar Tembuburong and as usual I didn't get to score. And finally for the last game, we won over Ago go and I scored 6points. Overall in the tournament, I get to play a while and that's because...

I'll PANCIT myself after a few minutes in da game... Pfft~

It is the sign and time to keep fit instead of keeping FAT!!!

One Of The Weekend That I Had

Weekend is the day that everyone looking forward to. Fast fast reach Saturday & slow slow reach Monday, this is what students and people who is working always hope.

It is the day which we all can finally rest, relax and of course have a lot of FUN at the night.

And also the goodnight sleep that we can have as long as we want!

During one of the weekend, I was invited to George's place to have dinner.

It is so nice of him and his girlfriend invited me over to have Sushi dinner meal!! One pair of loving couple that is busy preparing the lovely meal not for each of them.

BUT ME!!!

Awww~ Life is GREAT with you all around!!! What can I ask for more.

Making Sushi sure needs lot of efforts and time that we need to make it all one by one. It is not like frying Nasi Goreng which we put all the ingredients inside and CIPLAK fry it. It took George & Shirley quite a while to prepare it and finally...

Took about an hour half to make it, then took about half an hour to finish it all.

Drinking Sake is Japanese Culture that peoples do drink it while enjoying the meal. I never have the chance to try it. Heard that it is also known as rice wine. Does it taste like the Iban Tribe's Rice Wine "Tuak"? Only if Brunei got serves or sells Sake,

You Fight, We Grow!

It's early December now and 2009 is coming to its end. Before it came to an end, Brunei Darussalam managed to held two big and remarkable exhibition events. This showed that we're moving toward each year.

First we had the BRIDEX 2009. It is the premier defence and security event in South East Asia that brings together the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of defence & security equipment and systems. It also exhibits the latest and innovative technology in land, sea and air.

Basically it is an exhibition about the military's things!

Then recently we had the Agriculture & AgriFood Expo '09.

And it is basically about Farming. It is an exhibition about the development of agriculture sector in Brunei and its aim in the year coming towards the self-sufficiency in foods production.

Both expo did exhibit the machinery & equipments used in each fields. Let us here see the difference in between these two.

BRIDEX 2009 got super ass-kicking tank that can blow up things into pieces.

Agriculture got tractor that is multifunctional which can be used to transport people, ploughing the land, clearing the land and etc.

All the machinery and equipments of the military are deadly because it can kills. Like movie always said, bullet does not has eyes. So be careful with it.

Transplanter that is use to plant the padi seeds.

Combine-Harvester that harvest the padi and at the same time it removes the grain from the stalk. It is useful which can save man-power and time for the processing.

Guns, Bombs, Rockets and etc are the equipments carry by the soldier. Military is all about security defence in the country that is why they need ass-kicking machine and equipment. If not, how to defence? We don't have tunnel to hide and area is not big for us to run! Later kena bomb pun tak tahu apa hal.

As for the agriculture, what do they use for their equipment?

Tongkat, hoe, shovel, rake and etc. Things are far more gentle compare to the tank. But hoe can buries people alive too!

Why would we want aggressive or deadly things. We don't fight, we just grow!

We're just farmers!!! You fight for us and we grow for you! :)
