Why Labuan?

I'd been to Labuan twice in half year time. Two time may sounds little but it is a lot to me because in this half year time I'd been to Labuan more than Miri.

BUT why more Labuan than Miri? Miri has more shopping center than Labuan, Miri is nearer than Labuan, Miri has Starbucks and Labuan doesn't. WHY?


Is it because of the nightlife in Labuan is more fun than Miri?


Is it because of the beers taste different than others? Nehh, but Labuan has the cheapest beer among all other Malaysia states which is because everywhere you'll see DUTY-FREE!!! Click on the "LINK" to view on the entry of Duty-Free in Labuan.


Or is it because of the girls?


Or is it because of the ship? Sitting on a ship is not something that happen on my everyday life!



Or is it the sea-foods that I can enjoy by the sea-side?

If anyone ask me what do I enjoy the most other than the foods @ Labuan. I would answer...


It would be the LIVE-BAND! Almost all the clubs @ Labuan come with Live-Band performances. Imagining that drinking the cool beers and enjoying the songs that we love. Life is about chilling! The live-band performances in Labuan are all ass-kicking.

Other than the DJs spinning the mixer to spice up everyone,

Crossroad is the club that I visited during the second trip. The place is big that the ground floor is the disco area and where the Live-Band performs.

Other than the Live-Band that caught my attention in that place, here's what caught my attention too.

From the experiences I had, Labuan is one place that you'll want to go again and again. The people there are friendly, the foods and drinks are cheap, the McDonald's open 24hours everyday. Other than that,


It is one peaceful place that is not "Armed & Dangerous"!!!

I'm Lovin' It Labuan

I had the chance to go Labuan again during last Chinese New Year. My first time visit Labuan was during the Hari Raya Adilfiltri celebration @ 2009.

I at first thought Labuan is just a small island with nothing much to see and do. I was wrong that Labuan maybe small compare to Brunei but it has what Brunei doesn't has.


First of all is its "NightLife" where people can go clubbing, drinking, dancing, relaxing themselves enjoying the live band performances and etc.

Other than that, it is actually quite a same like Brunei...


Brunei has Mohan's carpet, Labuan also has it.

Brunei has KFC, Labuan also has it BUT they have even more efficient KFC...


Which their KFC opens 24hours everyday!!!

And during my second visit to Labuan, I found out that Labuan also has this...


McDonald's which located @ the Airport of Labuan. I am so exciting of visiting it once I heard there is McD @ Labuan...


These just make me LOVE Labuan even more!!!


The nicest thing of all is that the McDonald's also opens 24hours daily!

It was 3.30 AM when I visited McD that time for takeaway alone together with the taxi driver and I thought I would be the only one visiting the place @ time like these.




And I was wrong AGAIN. Nights are always young in Labuan!

Other than opening 24hours daily, there are more extra menus than in Brunei.


They have different menus on different time period. From 4 a.m to 10 a.m in the morning, McDonald's has their own breakfast menus for the customer to order and within that time period, menus like Spicy Chicken McDeluxe, Big Mac, Double Cheeseburger, Fish O Fillet and etc are not available but only the Breakfast At McDonald's Menus.




The menus shown on the board and the staffs just have to spin over the board to change the menu served on the different time period.


McDonald's Labuan did a great job in managing its business that it keeps all its promises. Quality, Service and Cleanliness is promise to the customer, the board isn't hanging up on the wall just like that.

They really did it which the place is clean & tidy, not only that but also the interior is nice. They also have WiFi services for people to connect to the internet. This explain why there are still lots of people visiting McD at late night, it is like a cafe to them. Unlike Brunei which has lots of cafe, Labuan has DiscoTech Club, Lounge & Pub instead of cafe.

They also have friendly staffs that serves the customers with smiles.

Is It The End For The Labuan Trip?

I'd been blogging couple of posts about my trip in Labuan which I had during the Hari Raya Celebration Holiday. Let's see what I'd done for the trip...

Been to the KFC at Labuan. Business is good and markets are very competitive too!


Also had a little sight seeing around Labuan, visited one of the beach, the chimney which is the memorial structure after the World War 2, the only skatepark and discovered the "lamp-post of pisa"!


Stayed at 2hotels for the 3days and 2nights trip, ate at couple of eateries there and for the first time get to try the Fried Tuaran Mee!


At least there is something to see & shop at the shops at Labuan!




Labuan, the island of duty-free. An island that has more Duty-Free Shops selling TONS of alcohol & chocolate than Kedai Runcit selling Coca-Cola!


Seri Anna, the biggest ship among all others to sit to go Labuan. It has top and bottom deck for passengers to sit.
So that's all for the conclusion for the trip?

HOW CAN IT ENDED JUST LIKE THAT???

Above all are the activities that are available at daytime! The shops and duty-free shops closed early at there. At the night time, there are sea-foods restaurants for us to enjoy. But after the meal, where can we off to? Shops still have to close for a rest.


Unless we want to hang out at the KFC that opens 24hours a day!

Other than hanging out at the KFC,



There are BEERs to grab and chill for the night life at Labuan.

For the 3days 2nights trip, for the 3days I went around Labuan for sight seeing and walked around the roads around there. As for the 2nights, CLUBBING all night long that we went to two places at each night!

BEYOND 2000!

Both of these clubs located near to each other that is just a shop-building apart. Both clubs have a lot in similarities.




First of all, businesses are GOOD for the both of it! It's FULL when we got into both places.

For me, it's hard to make a decision on which one is better. Despite from the design of the club that is quite similar. It's very hard to compare because each club has its own attractions and both of them done great job in making the ambience HIGH!


Like any other clubs that always have DJ spinning and playing all those superb musics and makes everyone dance with the flow.

At Popin & Beyond 2000, not the DJ that does all the job. And these is also what I like about these two places. It's because each of them have their own...

Both also a place that we can ask the bartender to make nice drink to sip in and chill inside hearing songs & relax. Other than dancing, we also can watch football game inside!

football + nice musics + beers + women!!! Lose in betting also nehhhhh mindddd ahhh! [nevermind]

Nothing to worry about the songs they sing! They don't sing "Jangan Gila Dong" or what "Cari Pacarku". They sing Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Scorpions, Linkin Park, Black Eyed Peas, Jason Mraz, Avril Lavigne, Mayang Sari, Amy Search, Beyond and all the song of old school classical artists or bands that you can think of!!! It's really ass-kicking!

With the Beyond 2000 band, the lead female and male singer are powerful that they are good in singing slow rock songs. The male lead singer recognize and it's nice of him that asked me to go Labuan and play again... But then I don't know when is the next time I will be visiting there again.






At Popin. I asked one of the band member that can I take picture with you ALL and then they really bring it ALL, their band and their friends. While taking pictures, there also people rushed in and joined too.

It's really nice and fun hanging around the two places. Other than fun, I can feel secure too. People at there are nice and friendly that we cheers our drink with the people beside us. They just smile and then take their cup and cheers with you while drinking. Will visit them again if there is a chance going there again and it's one nice trip that I had!
